Alejandro manages his family’s ranch in the Chihuahua desert. Together with his fellow ranchers\, they have transformed one million acres of Mexico’s Chihuahua desert to grassland by implementing holistic and regenerative practices. \nAlejandro is a delegate to the United Nations to Combat Desertification and Land Degradation. Healthy grasslands are important because they are one of the largest sources of carbon sequestration. \nLight food and wine will be available for purchase.

DESCRIPTION:Alejandro Carrillo is one of the foremost contemporary experts on regenerative and holistic practices. A software engineer by training and a 4th generation rancher\, Alejandro manages his family’s ranch in the Chihuahuan desert. Alejandro assists ranchers and institutions on regenerative practices across the Western USA and in South America. He also participates as a delegate to the United Nations to Combat Desertification and Land Degradation in multiple countries. \nLearn the main principles and practices of regenerative ranching. This workshop is for anyone interested in ranching\, rangeland management\, farming or gardening. This workshop will equip you with the tools to improve soil and water retention\, increase plant development and growth and build biodiversity. \nAlejandro Carrillo will be offering a two-day workshop on regenerative topics including: \n\nthe water-cycle\nsoil fertility\nregenerative grazing\nrisk management\nreturn on investment\n\nAlejandro and his fellow ranchers have successfully transformed large parts of Mexico’s Chihuahuan desert to grassland by implementing holistic and regenerative practices. This has resulted in both increased rainfall\, and returned desert land to lush grasslands. \n\n\nAre meals included? \nLunch is included on Saturday\, and Sunday.
