Fishing in Our Food System

The Central Coast doesn’t end at the shoreline. Wild-caught and farmed seafood is part of our food heritage and our economy. Small-scale fisherfolk still face real obstacles. Market access is hard. Shared infrastructure is scarce. And they rarely get a seat at the planning table. SBCFAN brings fisherfolk into the same conversation as farmers and ranchers. Together, we are building a blue economy alongside the land-based food system.
