The Santa Barbara County Food Action Plan was published in 2016. It provides a community-driven strategic plan that assesses and provides recommendations about how we as a county grow, distribute, consume, and dispose of food. The 104-page plan is framed around four pillars — investment in our food economy, health and wellness, community, and foodshed — and is a roadmap for food system resilience for generations to come.
