Free Green Gardening Course

Registration is now open for the FREE Santa Barbara City College (SBCC) Extended Learning Green Gardener Training offered over Zoom on either Mondays or Wednesdays from 4:30 to approximately 6:30 PM.
Monday class runs Aug. 24 to Dec. 7, 2020
Wednesday class runs Aug. 26 to Dec. 9, 2020.
This class is for landscapers and home gardeners interested in landscaping and food production. If you have taken the class and would like to repeat it just register again. See Video https://youtu.be/8EclO-ys0To (dates were from summer session I).
Taught by Oscar Carmona, through Santa Barbara City College’s (SBCC) Extended Learning Program (adult ed.) Oscar has developed this class over the last 20 years. In addition to his expertise you will have multiple guest experts present. The class is usually taught in-person but this fall all of SBCC classes are over Zoom.
You will learn to garden in harmony with natural systems along with the specifics of: Site selection, plant nutrition, food production, watering, plant selection, harvesting, soil management, compost, mulching, weed and pest management and much more!

Step 2. If you have taken a class recently you can skip the application and go right to this page and click the pipeline account icon on the left side bar and register for FALL courses. https://www.sbcc.edu/

The Monday fall Green Gardener course number or CRN is:
42381 for module 1 and 42383 for module 2.
The Wednesday fall Green Gardener course number or CRN is:
42382 for module 1 and 42384 for module 2.
Step 3. Once you are on the add/drop a class page add the CRN number and hit submit (in the lower left hand corner of the page. Sign up for module 1 and 2 they are part of the same class.

Step 4. Once you register you will have a pipeline gmail email account. You will be sent a Zoom link through your pipeline email to attend the first class. So be sure to check that email before the first class meeting.
